ADVENTURE CLUB QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

HOW DOES A DOG JOIN THE ADVENTURE CLUB?

Begin with Request availability so we can check your area, preferred weekday and route fit. If there may be a suitable space, Carl will arrange a complimentary Meet & Greet to learn about your dog’s temperament, confidence, recall, play style, travel behaviour, health and routine. You will then complete the essential details and agreements through our client app. Group applicants usually have an introductory one-to-one or trial adventure before a permanent place is offered. That time allows us to build trust and choose the right companions. A place is confirmed only when the dog, pack, weekday and collection round all fit properly; if not, we will recommend a more suitable one-to-one walk, VIP Companion Visit or waiting-list option.

WHAT MAKES THE SIMPLY SPOILT ADVENTURE CLUB DIFFERENT?

It is a complete weekly countryside routine, not a random drop-in pack. Dogs join small, carefully matched recurring groups led by Carl’s 12,000+ hours of professional canine experience. The route is chosen for the dogs, ground, weather and season, with natural movement, scent, exploration and calm social confidence at the heart of the outing. Secure transport, thoughtful return-home care and a personal photo report through our app complete the service. Members also receive an ongoing 10% saving on eligible Simply Spoilt Canine goods and priority access at member prices to optional monthly specials.

WHAT DOES A WEEKLY ADVENTURE INCLUDE?

1. Collection and travel. Your dog is collected from home and travels securely with their familiar group. Collection and return time is additional to the active walk; the core duration is not reduced by driving time.

2. A route chosen for that day. Adventures can range from sweeping Quantock hill routes and selected Forestry England or ancient woodland settings to National Trust countryside where suitable, open Somerset landscapes and suitable swim spots. Weather, ground, season and the pack decide.

3. Around one fulfilling hour on the trail. The Signature Pack Adventure includes approximately one hour of active countryside walking, shaped around natural movement, scent, exploration and calm social confidence. Carl leads throughout, with recall, group balance and calm social behaviour always in view. Longer Exmoor or Quantock hikes are separate monthly specials.

4. Thoughtful post-adventure care. Dogs are offered fresh water and an owner-approved treat. Muddy dogs are towelled or given a warm rinse where practical and needed. A light dog-safe scent is used only where suitable and agreed, with sensitivities recorded during onboarding.

5. A proper update. Owners receive photographs and a personal written report through the app, which also keeps schedules, communication and service information together. Technology supports the experience; careful handling, route planning and judgement remain the foundation.

WHERE DO YOU WALK, AND WHICH AREAS DO YOU COVER?

Based in Bishops Lydeard, we serve compatible rounds across Cotford St Luke, Oake, Kingston St Mary, West Bagborough, Crowcombe, nearby Quantock villages and selected Taunton areas. Adventures range from the Quantock Hills and Forestry England woodland to suitable National Trust countryside, open landscapes and favourite swim spots. Routes change with the dogs and conditions; availability depends on postcode and weekday, so please use Request availability.

HOW DO FIXED PACKS AND MEMBER BENEFITS WORK?

Groups are usually three and never more than four where suitable. We consider temperament, confidence, size, play style, recall, energy and travel behaviour, then keep successful packs familiar through fixed weekly places. That consistency builds calmer relationships and protects each dog’s routine. Active members receive an ongoing 10% saving on eligible Simply Spoilt Canine products—our own collection for countryside dogs who look good, stay adventure-ready and live well—plus priority and member prices for monthly Exmoor hikes, sunset walks, selected secure-field socials and other specials.
